2013+ diesel trucks with working OBD-II. Plug-in scan, filed with CARB the same day, 15–25 minutes on site.
Opacity Visual (OVI) — from $200
2012 and older diesels, plus any rig flagged by CARB. Calibrated smoke-opacity test plus full visual inspection in 30–45 minutes.
